Theme Identication in RDF Graphs

چکیده

An increasing number of RDF datasets is published on the Web. A user willing to use these datasets will first have to explore them in order to determine which information is relevant for his specific needs. To facilitate this exploration, we present an approach allowing to provide a thematic view of a given RDF dataset, making it easier to target the relevant resources and properties. Our approach combines a density-based graph clustering algorithm with semantic criteria in order to identify clusters, each one corresponding to a theme. Prior to clustering, the initial RDF graph is simplified, and user preferences are mapped into a set of transformations applied to the graph. Once the clusters are identified, labels are extracted to express their semantics. In this paper, we describe the main features of our approach to generate a set of themes from an RDF dataset.

Roman domination excellent graphs: trees

A Roman dominating function (RDF) on a graph $G = (V, E)$ is a labeling $f : V rightarrow {0, 1, 2}$ suchthat every vertex with label $0$ has a neighbor with label $2$. The weight of $f$ is the value $f(V) = Sigma_{vin V} f(v)$The Roman domination number, $gamma_R(G)$, of $G$ is theminimum weight of an RDF on $G$.An RDF of minimum weight is called a $gamma_R$-function.A graph G is said to be $g...

Functional Programs as Linked Data

The idea of linked programs, or procedural RDF metadata, has not been deeply explored. This paper introduces a dedicated scripting language for linked data, called Ripple, whose programs both operate upon and reside in RDF graphs. Ripple is a variation on the concatenative theme of functional, stack-oriented languages such as Joy and Factor, and takes a multivalued, pipeline approach to query c...

Temporal RDF

The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is a metadata model and language recommended by the W3C. This paper presents a framework to incorporate temporal reasoning into RDF, yielding temporal RDF graphs. We present a semantics for temporal RDF graphs, a syntax to incorporate temporality into standard RDF graphs, an inference system for temporal RDF graphs, complexity bounds showing that entailm...

On Explicit Provenance Management in RDF/S Graphs

The notion of RDF Named Graphs has been proposed in order to assign provenance information to data described using RDF triples. In this paper, we argue that named graphs alone cannot capture provenance information in the presence of RDFS reasoning and updates. In order to address this problem, we introduce the notion of RDF/S Graphsets: a graphset is associated with a set of RDF named graphs an...

RDF Twig: accessing RDF graphs in XSLT

RDF is a powerful, standard way to represent metadata. XSLT is a powerful, standard way to transform documents. Unfortunately, it isn’t particularly easy to transform RDF graphs with XSLT. This paper describes a new strategy for making RDF amenable to XSLT processing. It introduces RDF Twig, a set of extension functions for Saxon and Xalan that provide a flexible methodology for accessing RDF g...
